When Lily Ford returns to her lakeside hometown of Hideaway Bay for her grandmother’s funeral, the reunion with her estranged sisters is anything but easy as old wounds surface quickly. Recently widowed and still reeling from the secrets her late husband left behind, Lily finds herself at a crossroad, questioning everything about herself and the people she thought she knew.

Hideaway Bay was the childhood summer playground and eventual home of her late grandmother, Junie, and her best friends. Lily’s heart is tugged by the strings of memories, having spent so much of her own childhood along the beaches there with family and friends. Having believed for years that she was content with the fragile peace she’d made with the past, Lily is as surprised as any when she begins to question whether she wants to return to her life in California. Maybe you can go home again.

Some people are cursed in love, but Rosie’s bad luck starts the moment her lips touches someone else’s. Locking lips with a man is a sure sign they’ll conveniently lose her number, stop returning calls, or worse, shut her down cold within a week’s time. What else could she call her terrible dating streak? Time is running out, and she only has one more semester of college to find someone before returning home where the dating pool is as dry as the Arizonan desert.

Tate’s ready to make his mark in the architectural world and give his mom a new place to call home, one that isn’t tainted by haunting memories of his father. But wherever he goes, he wants Rosie there with him. After realizing his own feelings for her, he wants to not only end the rumors, but also make a statement drastic enough to keep her around permanently.

The only obstacle- Rosie’s friend-zoned him indefinitely. Good thing he’s up for a challenge, even if that means facing demons from his childhood.

Love might just be the distraction they didn't know they needed.

Harper Woodson went against everything her mother wanted by becoming an painter instead of a lawyer. Having moved away from home a few years ago, she's growing desperate to prove that she can make it as a full-time artist, and refuses to let anything come between her and her goals. Her heart, however, didn't seem to get the memo, and is pining after a handsome lumberjack she's been friends with since her arrival in Seagull Cove.

Mason Turley can't help but watch the stunning, blonde painter, who is one of the sweetest people he knows. Her kind demeanor and beautiful looks have wormed their way under his skin and he knows he's got a full grown crush on his hands. He also has a desperate situation as he searches for his wayward sister, and unfortunately, that must come first...at all costs.

Neither Harper or Mason are willing to let a little chemistry come between them and their goals, but when an unexpected turn of events throws them together, for an extended period of time, their convictions begin to waver. Will giving into their attraction make them stronger? Or will love prove to be the distraction they thought all along
